friends & eating!

We have had some fun with friends! Graham loves riding his motorcycle with his little buddies. This is wy wy (wyatt) graham's buddy that loves coming to play with graham. It's always a treat to see the two of them play together and learn the ropes of sharing toys, being boys, and just having some fun!
Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement over the last 2 weeks. God works. I was sooooooooooooo hestitant to post my last blog about my heart struggling so much as we tackle eating issues with miss ellie. My heart has been encouraged as we've seen a few new OT's and gotten some more eating information from a few eating Ot's in atlanta and at children's here in town. Thank you for praying....deeply! Ellie is learning that food is a wonderful thing (at least we are working on that!). The new OT I met with last weds told me that she has had so much shoved in her face when it came to eating that we need to make eating fun, wonderful, and totally exciting for miss ellie. So we are letting ellie play with her baby food on her tray and even put some on her toys in it to taste. I know...it sounds a little over the top...but in the last week ellie has eaten almost 3 meals a day by mouth (babyfood that is). Does this give you chill bumps? It does me! I am telling u just 2 weeks ago we were looking into eating centers in other states...my heart was bursting with......no no no.....we can't up and move our family of 4 somewhere and let some one work with ellie til she's blue in the face 8 to 5 on eating. God cares....he does! So- thank you all more joining our family in lifting ellie up!

Yes, I know. So Graham is completely in love with his new tree fort his daddy has been working on for him for his 3rd bday gift. I think mike loves the tree fort almost as much as graham. Anyways- our sweet little friend miss aubrey came over saturday night and is toooooo sweet. she is adorable. i am already wanting her to be g's girl friend! well....you know what i mean. she's so sweet and lovey. So they were up there playing, and I was telling them to look at me so i could get their pictures together. Then they wanted to give each other a kiss.....I was laughing so hard...they had a lot of fun together.
And lastly....my mom has some family friends that have walked through some feeding challenged with their sweet grandaughter. One of the tips their OT gave them to encourage chewing was let the child chew on a twizzler. So my mom went right to the store and bought ellie some candy this last week. She said she never would have thought she'd be buying candy for ellie so young...but if it worked....she didn't care! Ellie loved chewing in these....the flavor, the texture, it all. And the best part was....it felt great to her gums too...teething!!! Thanks for our treat!
