A little pink into our world!
Finally- I look a few pictures of the nursery for Ellie! Mike has been working so hard to make her room so perfect! As you can see there is lots of pink! I love all the girly things, pink/brown, polka dots, it's been so fun to look here and there for girl things! Our house has boyish toys, blocks, trucks, balls, all the fun boy things....so now we are introducing a little pink! Graham knows where Ellie's room is, but isn't quite sure who or where she is! He loves going in her room and throwing his hands in the air- saying- "tish", meaning look at "this"! Graham is so proud to show off her room. Hopefully he'll be that excited once she is here!
We have had great help on our nursery! Mike, and his mom painted the room- and again Mike spoils me with his handy ability! He put up the sweet molding on the wall behind her crib. I love it, it is so sweet and soft! My parents were sweet to give Ellie her bumper, and a chair (that is on order), thank you!!!!!!!! Janet- Mike's mom used her sewing skills to sew our bed skirt...as I tried to grab a few tips here and there as she sewed! Our white crib was Graham's crib, we ended up buying him another crib that converts into a toddler bed. So soon we'll try to transition him into a big boy bed. He loves his crib right now, so we aren't pushing that move with a new baby on the way! Hello change! I don't want to bombard him with so much change!
This is where our chair will go in the corner. See where the mock chair is now...that's where our chair will go once it comes in! My decor inspiration came from this lamp! I always try and find one item to plan the entire room around. I found my striped lamp on restoration hardware baby website- it's got amazing baby stuff! That's were I ordered our bumper and quilt (the one hanging on the chair)! So far, this is it! We can't wait to bring her home show her the room so many worked as a labor of love just for her! The first day Mike brought Graham home he took him into every room of our house giving him a tour of each room. I was a mess, cried I think the whole time. I just couldn't believe he was really home from the NICU. I didn't get much sleep that first week since I was so scared he wasn't breathing...thankfully we got an angel monitor- it was my true "angel!" I tell you-if you have a baby in the nicu or has breathing issues, that monitor is completely worth the price! I used it the first 4 months of Graham's life! That's how we got a little shut eye!
If I were to make a list for you all you pregnant mommy's this is what the best items would be!
1. angel monitor- if you need breathing help!
2. camera monitor- Graham is upstairs and we are down- so it's awesome for naps, and at night to check on him without going upstairs or having to go in his room and wake him up.
3. a swing- rocks them right to sleep!
4. swaddle blankets- they love being swaddled!
5. bouncy chair- how i took a shower
6. baby sling- you can actually get things done around your house with baby on u!
7. Bob jogging stroller- they are pricey but completely worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!! my fav!
8. nursing pump- if you plan to nurse
9. hooter hider - ha ha- it's a cover so you can nurse while someone comes to visit you and your baby!
10. noise maker- I have a white noise maker that we still use all the time to help babies sleep soundly!
That's my top ten for the day! If I think of more baby favs....I'll post them!

yay for little girls! it all looks wonderful!
Love the nursery! It's beautiful! And I totally agree with you about the angel monitor. I would have gone crazy without it for Eli. It's a definite must for preemie babies.
Love the room - so sweet! I also agree about the angel monitor - my first would only sleep for any length of time on his tummy and having the angel monitor gave us such peace of mind! Love it! We just pulled it out for little Gracie :)
Loving all this pink, Shelli :)
