the big picture of life!
this is ellie in her hospital dress last week, just thought it was cute....
Our sweet ellie today started rolling over and moving a ton more than before. I tell you, this child has really taught Mike and I the realness of life and the small things are so worth celebrating and rejoicing. All the pettiness of life seems to fly out the window right now in my mind and heart b/c life is sooooooooooooo stinkin short and so precious to not enjoy each day to the fullest. Why let our hearts focus on the negative? We have had some hard days recently I won't deny that, but with God as our sweet Heavenly Father, we have see HIM in our child constantly. How He refines our thoughts to be positive and dwelling on what is good! Thankfully, today God showed me complete faithfulness as ellie was on the floor laughing at me as i stood over her doing my goo goo talk- then i walked to one side and she went with me! Ellie has been a little behind on the small milestones than most babies her age- but we expected that with her first 6 weeks of life being in a crib in the nicu. So today we say thank you! Tonight Mike and I are having a babysitter come to watch G and we are finally going on a much needed date together. It's been forever since we haven't had a sick child at home (keeping us in!). I can't wait to just sit at a table with him (not get up) and catch up on our lives together. Thank you all for constantly encouraging us through this walk of life! Who knew a child rolling over would bring so much thankfulness in our home! =)

Shelli,
I love that picture of her..and loved seeing her sweet smiles today! Here is the verse I was talking about for my brother and really for all of us...
"Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing" (Psalm 146:3-4).
Love this post and that precious smile on sweet El's face!!!
