first day

*here is our aunt t meeting and visiting with graham and ellie! Ellie will have lots of girl time with aunt t- pedicures, make up time, and dress up....she can't wait!

It's just me now! We have had help in our house for a long time now. From me being on bed rest then having ellie and needing someone to be here at night for mike and i to make our daily visits to the nicu. We have had someone at our house for months now. I couldn't have done it all without all our help. But, now it's me and the kiddos! Yesterday was my first day just Graham, Ellie and me. I've absolutely loved it. It was a challenge don't get me wrong. Graham is at the stage where he wants to test every part of me- and anything he isn't supposed to touch, move, play with, eat, whatever we aren't allowed to do- he did yesterday! I was humored at first- then completely worn out. As a mom- there is no book on how to guide your children. Yesterday I wish I could have just turned to a chapter on explaining different ways to say "!!no!!" Graham is almost 2 and has really been an amazing listener. He knows exactly what I am saying and knows also just what not to do and to do. Seeing my attention isn't 100% on him now, which he is ok with, I just think he thinks he can try to get away with a little more now that I am devoted to another little one! By the time I cooked dinner yesterday morning, did all of ellie's feedings, played with graham, pumped for Ellie, gave graham his lunch, it was seriously 5 pm before i knew it. I was so thankful to be a mom yesterday. Even though it was crazy crazy- nonstop- going- we did it! How quickly I forgot how tired you are when you are up in the quiet hrs of the night feeding a baby. So I told Mike that was the one thing that was working against me- just my body being so tired. Hopefully in the next week or so I'll muster up some energy to start working out again- after 2 c-sections- we are ready for some working out. So once I get used to the lack of sleep- we'll hopefully get some extra energy from working out- not to mention getting all my stress out (mike would love that, i am sure!)

Sweet baby ellie, how we love you precious girl!
