A good night!

I can't go without posting some victory with 'El-Bell'! Last night Ellie at 6pm took 39 cc's for a nurse in the nicu and later at 9pm took 38 cc's for Mike! This is huge huge huge for her in taking that much one bottle after another! Normally after one bottle she is completely worn out and doesn't do well two bottles in a row! The last few days she has shown more and more interesting in her desires to eat! I believe all the prayers, the sweet faithfulness of so many are blessing our family. I am amazed at those that are sweetly walking through this journey with us. Mike and I are so touched by those that are hurting with us, rejoicing in the good, and already loving on our child. We are believing she is getting stronger at sucking, breathing, and swallowing her milk! I gave her a bottle yesterday morningand Mike gave her one last night- he said there is a completely different feeling now the way she wants it. We have to force the bottle out of her mouth to encourage her to take those breaths in between sucking. Our prayer is that she continues to learn this quickly so she can come home to us. What a day that will be. I think we will all be crying such tears of joy! Mike and I can't wait to have our family of 4 all together as get into our daily routines. Graham still isn't quite sure who Ellie is- but every picture he sees of her he kisses it and says.."ahhhh". I am not sure he knows those that she is his little sister! Her homecoming will be a celebrated day. So as for now we are on our knees praying for Ellie- the progress she has made in the last day- thank you for giving our child to God in your prayers! God has shown me more and more that He can parent her far better than I will ever- and I am just so so thankful he has given me the gift of children and for letting them teach me so much about His love!
