Ellie is here! 1-11-10

We are so thankful for our little girl, She is here she is here!!!!!!!!

Monday Jan 11th, I went in for my weekly (36 weeks, 6 days) check up. After being monitored for a few hours, my contractions were showing to be about 5 minutes apart, they noticed Ellie's heart rate was dropping every time I contracted. So around 5:30ish Monday night, a nurse came popping in my room and said, "We're going to have a baby tonight!" Tears suddenly came streaming down my face, and Mike couldn't have been sweeter. We were ready but at the same time a little nervous about Ellie's health and going into a c-section. Thankfully, my parents got there before I headed in the OR. I had a sweet prayer time with my mom and Mike, and as I was being rolled down to the OR I look up and here comes my dad walking straight towards me. More tears came, gave my family a hug, and off I went. Having a c-section this go round was a bit more nerve racking only b/c I knew more about what was going on and how I was going to feel after the surgery. I couldn't have asked for a sweeter nurse to go through this experience with me, I really think she was my angel for the day. Anytime I needed anything she was there, even if it was a smile, a look, taking pictures for Mike and I in the OR, she was amazing!

So at 6:30 pm on the 11th- God gave us a precious gift- our little baby girl- Ellianna Vera (Ellie). She came out with a great cry, weighing 6.4 and was 17.25 inches long. She has a head full of dark hair and looks a lot like her daddy, and has some of the same features are her big brother Graham as well. She is a tiny little thing- but we are thrilled she is here and healthy. We did get to spend the first 2 hours of her life together in our room. She came straight from the c-section to our room and then started breathing rapidly so they took her the nicu for a while. They are still monitoring her, and so far she is just showing signs of having some reflux. We can't wait to get her home and share her with you all. Graham hasn't met his little sister yet b/c the night she was born he was at home asleep and the nicu is only allowing parents to visit their babies due to all the H1N1 bugs. Thank you for praying for our child's life, she is here! Finally and we couldn't be more thankful and full of joy to announce the greatness of our God! Here are some fun pictures!!!!!!!!!

My amazing doctor- we love her!
