Mr. Grahambo got his first hair cut! We had to be created with our use of the scary scissors! Mike quickly handed Graham something to play with and I quickly starting singing and snipping away! He had these adorable curls in the back, but from behind he was starting to look like a little girl. I loved his curls- but as sad as it was to cut them off- it was time. His new big boy hair cut makes him look 3 to me! I just feel like he went from a baby to a boy! Today I was looking at him while we were eating dinner and he was doing all of his baby sign language we taught him starting at 8 months. He was signing for more food, juice, apple, and then he pointed to everyone at the table and said their names...I am mama maaa, Mike is dada, and we think Mike's mom who is nana is called...ninini. When he was finished with his food he pointed to the floor and signed for "down" and then "please"- saying maybe I get down please!!!! I feel like he really is soaking in everything we tell him, or show him, and I am sure he is watching us when we don't even realize! Scary! But, our hair cut was a success, he didn't even know what we really did, I think he thought I was just playing with his hair!
Graham getting his first hair but at 17 months!

the first hair cut is tough - snif snif - they start looking like such little boys and not babies - just wait until your sweet little Ellie arrives - you will really think Graham looks old - James only 12 months when John-Mark was born and I remember when he came to the hospital for the first time thinking -OH my goodness - you turned in to a big boy overnight!!! Glad the first hair cut went well - just don't let mike near the razor like Jeremy did to my baby :)
