Brave boy!

Today Graham had his 1 year old bog boy shots and check up! Graham has been eating everything recently on his own! He eats 3 solid meals a day- our table food- and is now on whole milk! Where did my baby go? I remember when we started giving him just 1 tbs of baby rice a day, I thought he'd never get the whole eating thing. He did! He also thinks he's real big since he takes his sippy cup everywhere and drinks his water all on his own. He cracks me up, I am loving this age and all the new changes and interactions! Back to the doc visit- Graham weighs 20.6 lbs, and is over 29 inches long! We were so excited to see him on the "normal" growth chart and the big boy that he is! Makes us so thankful for all those small improvements! The sadest part of the day was when they gave him his 3 shots. Poor little man! He was trying so hard not to cry- but then- he let loose and cried alligator tears. Mommy heart was broken as well. He kept reaching for me to pick him up and I couldn't until the nurse was finished with all 3 shots. Graham doesn't cry a lot, so for him to cry to the top of his lungs, of course tears automatically started running down my face. But, we made it through (shuwwwww)! After the nurse left the room we had some time to calm down. Graham just tucked his head in my shoulder and wouldn't bring his head up until we got to the car. Heart breaking. But, as much as I have been dreading those shots, I can now say, we're done for a little bit! Graham took a long nap once we got home and we down some down time the rest of the day together!
