9 month check up!

(above) Graham's 1st month to now.....he is 9 months.....growing growing boy!

As a Mommy it is amazing to see in these last few months the changes our little love has made! Yesterday we went for our 9 months doctors appointment!I couldn't believe he was really going for a 9 month appointment! Graham weighs 17.12 lbs and is 27 1/2 inches long! The doctor said his length has really taken off! With Graham being a premiee his growth is very important and we have been amazed at how quickly his clothes are filling out each day. I get kinda sad as I pack away his clothes that get tight quickly! Anways back to the doctors visit- my grateful heart and a proud mommy yesterday was speechless when our doctor told us that he is doing so great and is on the "normal" growth chart! He told us that most babies born at 32 weeks, and being a white male, that most boys tend to be sicker and get lots of colds, earaches, and are a little behind on their motor skills and speech developement. Graham is right where a 9 month old would be! What a blessing! Graham is now eating 3 meals a day and has dropped 2 bottles! We are going to try and introduce some chuncky and finger foods for him to try on his own! Big boy! As a mom, and remembering back to a few NICU little friends- my heart couldn't shout for joy as I watch my son grow and make these huge mile markers. I just know that some parents even though their child is here on this earth, they mourn through many hard daily battles! This is a reminder as a believer to pray for these children and their mommies and daddies! That they will have a comfort and strength coming from above! The "normal" and "small" things in life we tend to overlook so quickly. So - we say thanks for Graham and the healthy appointment he had yesterday!
