March of dimes weekend!
First of all I want to thank you all who gave to, The March of Dimes! This past Saturday Mike and I traveled 45 out of B-ham to do the walk for babies! Thanks to you all, we raised $1,100 for the March of Dimes! We were so thankful since our goal was $500, so thank you all for making this day such a success! This was a very special weekend for Mike and I as we did this for our preemie born in April, Graham! The walk was 4.2 miles...so Mike and I spent the walk talking about the joy Graham is and how thankful we really were with him being 7 1/2 weeks early! This is something we hope to do each year just to give back and help others!
This weekend Mike did a great job of really making it a special weekend! It was our first weekend to have a, "getaway" weekend just the two of us! Mike's mom came in town Friday so Saturday Mike and I could have some time to spend together. After the walk Mike and I went shopping for a little bit...I didn't remember what it was like to go somewhere without a baby. It was soooooooooo much easier to look at things and try clothes on without Graham there. Even though we both missed him (Graham) a lot!

Mike had planned for us to go up to the top of Oak Mnt. Saturday night as the sun was setting to have a little romantic night together. We sat up on a rock and talked about the things we were so thankful for and how blessed the two of us are! He has some romance up his sleeve every once in a while! He gave me a rose, and a sweet card! He really put some time and effort in thinking about this day! I had no clue what the rest of the night held....he loves keeping me on my toes and surprising me. So after we sat and chatted for a while we left and went to a hotel here in b-ham to change and go to one of our favorite T
hia dinners! We were at dinner for about 2 hours. We were soaking everything in....b/c when our precious child came into the world now,we both eat as fast as we can...to
help graham with this and that...things are just a little different when you have a child! In a good way, of course! So-we enjoyed our time together. And to top the night off we were back to our hotel and I slept through the night for the first time since Graham was born! I didn't even really worry about him since we were still in B-ham and I knew Mike's mom had everything under control! I feel so rested today...and was so excited this morning when I woke up and saw I didn't even wake up through the night!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Mike for blessing me this weekend and making me feel absolutely adored and loved! You are an amazing man, dad, and hubby! We had a wonderful great parents, "getaway" weekend together. And- thank you Nanna for letting us spent this time together and playing with Graham, he loved it!!!!!!
