Our story!!!!!
Mike and I met at North Point church on a college retreat in 2002. We dated for 2 years before we got married in Atlanta Ga. Mike is a man that is truly a leader, my love, and a man I am so thankful to have in my life. We moved to B-ham a week after we got married in Jan 2004. He worked with his brother for 3 years doing construction this is what brought us to B-ham! Mike and his brother have been on many adventures together. In college they traveled all over the U.S. and other parts of the country. They both learned spanish while studing overseas! Mike enjoyed his time working on job sites, and learning the hoops of tag teaming a partnership with his bro. Those 3 year have given Mike a great foundation for his trasition into his new job at Alabama Power. Mike studied at Ga Tech engineering, so he thought he might try the world of "nerds" as he calls it! He is loving his new job, and the great team of co-workers he works with each day. Of course, if you knew Mike you would know he isn't one to sit still for very long. So, yes he has construction side jobs that he enjoys doing in his spair time...which is limited. Since, Mike and I met at North Point, we were lucky to hear that North Point was planting a church in downtown B-ham, called Redstone. We have been able to minister to children in Wamba land (babies) and Upstreet (kids)! Now that our little one is here we are thankful for these ministries and it is awesome to know there will be leaders willing to share love to our little one! I am so thankful that I will be able to stay at home now with our little one. We will keep you updated on him!
